From October 11th to 12th, the "Gone with the Chaos" team, composed of Chen Yongshi, Zhang Zihui, and Zeng Hui from the International Economics and Trade program of the Department of Economics at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, represented the university at South China Agricultural University with their project titled "Research on Online Consumption Traps and Governance: A Comparative Practice in Real Estate, Concerts, and Catering Industries." Under the guidance of Professor Xie Zhiwei from the Department of Economics and the leadership of Ms. Liu Lu from the Academic Affairs Department, the team showcased solid academic expertise and innovative perspectives, advancing through the competition. Ultimately, they stood out in the finals of the 2025 Guangdong College Students New Liberal Arts Practice and Innovation Competition, securing the Provincial Gold Medal and Third Place, bringing honor to the university.




The competition was exceptionally fierce this year, with a total of 219 finalist projects (spanning 11 categories) from across the province competing simultaneously. Among them, the economics, management, and law category alone featured 110 projects, making it the "highlight track" of the event. Facing intense competition, the team leveraged their solid professional foundation, delivering a logically clear presentation and composed, confident responses during the defense. Their outstanding performance secured them first place in their group, advancing them to the final round for the championship, runner-up, and third-place awards.


In the final round, the team competed against five top-tier teams from universities such as Sun Yat-sen University, Shenzhen University, and South China Agricultural University. Facing formidable opponents, the members calmly leveraged their research strengths, fully demonstrating the practical value and innovative perspective of their project. Ultimately, they secured third place in the competition, showcasing the practical and innovative capabilities of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University students in the field of new liberal arts with undeniable competence.




It is reported that the "College Students New Liberal Arts Practice and Innovation Competition" is a campus event targeting university students, aiming to strengthen the connection between liberal arts education and real-world social issues.
